Lisa’s love of hat making inspired her to learn hat-making technical skills. She attended FIT and has been designing and handcrafting hats for the past 10 years.

Battaglia draws inspiration from 15 years of international travel and from architecture, sculpture, books, films, music and fashion. The 1920’s, 30’s and 40’s have had a strong influence on her signature style.

Lisa’s hats are couture one-of-a-kind works of art. She uses freeform blocking techniques that provide asymmetrical sculpture to her hats. They were highlighted at the 2005 Kentucky Derby and she was a Milli Award winner.
