Ellen Christine Millinery Ellen has a retail shop in Chelsea NY where she
sells her unique brand of theatrically inspired headwear
with plumage, flowers and fashion panache. “My
hat shapes are inspired by film goddesses, architecture,
classic and sculpture (we also take custom orders).”
Ellen also collaborates with designers for runways,
does special pieces for film and theatre and makes
basic hats like berets.
Her hats have graced the pages of top fashion magazines
and Ellen recently made an ornate headpiece for W Magazine
worn by Linda Evangelista. The coronet headpiece with
large halo frame was covered in tulle, re-embroidered
lace and gold leaf roses. Evangelista was carried through
the streets of Soho like a Madonna with the media nearby.
 Ellen also teaches privately and at the Hudson Guild
Community Center. “I hope my hats have an uplifting
influence on others.”
