Jenny Gerst-Pfanenstiel
Jenny was featured in Style Chicago and named one
of their “Favorites.” Her hat was auctioned
off for Joliet Hospice and won the hat contest.
Her collection is shown at Accessoireé, a show
that highlights top Chicago accessory designers by
the Apparel Industry Board. Jenny’s hats were
at the Chicago Country Music and Art Festival in Grant
Park, Uncommon Threads in St. Charles and the Hinsdale
Embroiders Guild.
Her new children’s line has received accolades
for its vintage theme. Clients include Cirque du Soleil,
a Grammy dress for Margaret Cho, Hubbard Street Dance
and Outing Riley.
Some of her materials date back to the early 1900’s.
Jenny donates 10 percent of proceeds from public events
to animal rescue charities.
“Whenever I make a new hat I wear it out in
public to see and hear the reaction it gets. For me
it is a confirmation that I am doing the right thing.”
