Mademoiselle Slassi -
Hatty Winner
Mademoiselle Slassi designed 10 hats for the 2009 Miss
Universe Japan Finals in Tokyo in May 2009. Slassi also
created Haute Couture Hats for the World Chocolate Masters
Contest in Paris last October.
Before that, Mademoiselle Slassi worked as a project
manager in IT both in France and the US. When she returned
to Paris in 2007, she decided to follow her passion:
to become a milliner (it’s a Modiste in France).

She
took Millinery Art classes at “Greta de la mode” and
got her millinery diploma. Slassi did a few internships
- with French milliner Marie Mercié; at Maison
Légeron, the maker of haute couture flowers
- and at Le Printemps in Paris selling special occasion
hats.
"I dreamed of making hats for over 15 years,
but always thought that being a milliner was unrealistic.
But now I am working as an independent milliner and
every day something is happening that tells me that
this is not just a dream… its real!"
Mademoiselle Slassi designs limited collections and
custom made hats. As she says, "Hats to be special
every day, hats for a very special day"
