Marta was one of seven finalists in the Queens Hat Competition at Royal Ascot 2009 - she was the only American finalist. She also won 1st Place at the Saratoga Hat competition in Saratoga Springs Racecourse.

She recently moved to a store front shop called Busy Broad on Clifton Blvd. in Cleveland, Ohio.

"The Inauguration Ceremony reflected a real change in America. Aretha Franklin showed us that Hats have been - and will be - part of the dialogue of American Fashion," said Marta.
