Sherri Hrycay Sherri studied with Rose Cory in London and was
featured in a front page article in her local newspaper.
Afterwards she was asked to make a hat for a lady attending
the Queen’s garden party in London. “I
made a custom dyed straw hat worn at the Queens garden
party at Buckingham Palace in London.”
It is my hope and goal to influence people’s
fashion esthetic so they wear hats for formal occasions
all the time. She studied Haute Couture fashion design
with Mite de Fontinay in Calgary, Alberta and started
sewing clothes for her dolls at age five.
“My greatest inspiration was the hat exposition
at the Victoria and Albert museum by Stephen Jones
in London. Philip Treacy’s studio in London was
a big inspiration.
The
TV Mini Series “Coco Chanel” staring Shirley
MacLaine is an inspiration because of Chanel’s
early years as a milliner, her tenacity during that
time and her overall esthetic.”
Hrycay is looking for retail representation.
