Yvette Jelfs
Yvette had two hats in the Royal Carriages at the
Royal Ascot in 2009. Her website, Hatshop.co.uk – has
an online virtual boutique where you can try on hats
by scanning in a photograph of yourself and clicking
and dragging a hat to try them on.

Yvette, inspired by her Grandmother’s hat collection,
apprenticed with Peter Bettley in Luton and worked
for Kangol (and the legendary milliner Graham Smith).
Yvette worked on designs by Graham for Princess Diana,
The Duchess of York, The Duchess of Kent and other
celebrities.
Yvette worked with - and befriended - the famous London
milliner Philip Treacy. “Her challenge is to
defy the Global Recession and to promote hats and headwear
to a wider range of people through the horse racing
industry, millinery workshops and education.
