The Man with 82,000 Hats

“A Minnesota man could wear a different baseball cap every hour for nine years and not get through his collection.

Volunteers have counted 82,792 of them. It's an unofficial world record. It took two semi-trucks to haul the collection to the Corn Palace, where the caps were counted.

Roger "Buckey" Legried started the collection in 1970. It'll take some paperwork and documentation before its recognized as the world's largest in the Guinness Record Book.”

Guinness now lists the record collection at around 30,000.
