CONSUMERS
CONTINUE THEIR LOVE AFFAIR WITH THE INTERNET
A poll conducted for Time magazine’s latest
‘‘Style & Design" issue found
that 95 percent of people with median household
incomes of $200,000 or more bought merchandise
online last year — more than two-thirds
purchasing clothing and accessories.
Nearly 40 percent do most of their shopping in
department stores, and more than one-third say
price is the most important consideration. They
consider Ralph Lauren the best designer and Clinique
the top beauty vendor.
