HOLIDAY SHOPPERS KEEP SHOPPING DESPITE AN ELECTRICAL FIRE

Holiday shoppers in Ohio didn’t let a little thing like an electrical blaze stop them from shopping. You would think we were a nation obsessed with acquisition (don’t tell anyone, we are).

Even though fire and smoke filled Dillards Department store at the Great Lakes Mall in Mentor, Ohio shoppers wanted to keep on shopping (talk about obsessive). Firefighters had to block the doors to keep customers from coming in.

"It was amazing," said Mentor fire Battalion Chief Joe Busher. "Even though there was heavy smoke in there, they all wanted to stay and shop. We even had to put people at the door to keep people from coming in."

The fire burned circuits of a high-voltage electrical panel near a women's dressing room, firefighters said.
