CARTOONS ARE POISED
TO MAKE A COMEBACK
CONSUMERS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN…SO
WHY DEPRIVE THEM?
Now is the time to bring back whimsical and colorful
CARTOON PRINTED HATS. If you don’t have
a cartoon license, make up one of your own. It
matters not the heritage of your character, it
only matters if he or she is interesting and goofy
cool. All-over number and letter prints are also
coming back into style.

"I Yam What I Yam!"
This is what we heard:
A great new collection of early Popeye
comics exposes the nutty sailor as an independent-minded
brawler whose good humor masked the tough life
of an immigrant.
The great comic strips, that have spent decades
out of print, are finally being reprinted in nicely
designed editions. First is Fantagraphics' Charles
Schulz's "Peanuts" series and then George
Herriman's "Krazy Kat". But now that
list includes: Winsor McCay's "Little Nemo
in Slumberland," Frank King's "Gasoline
Alley," Hank Ketcham's "Dennis the Menace,"
Tove Jansson's "Moomin" and Chester
Gould's "Dick Tracy."
Now the list will include E.C. Segar's "Popeye,
Volume 1: 'I Yam What I Yam!'" The first
volume of "Popeye" (there will be six
in all), will take viewers up to the late 30’s.
In case you didn’t realize it, this cartoon
carry-over is really about Nostalgia. They were
better times for some, not for others. But this
time of innocence is having a come-back.
Why not jump on board? Hats are a natural in
these whimsical prints.
