Miss Annie Mae's Hats: Church Hats from the Black
Community opened last month at the James Watrous

"Miss Annie Mae's Hats" looks at the
role the hat plays in black churches, and the
role the church plays in the lives of many African-Americans
in Wisconsin.
Miss Annie Mae's Hats: Church Hats from the Black
Community runs through March 19 at The James Watrous
Gallery of the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences,
