We are still seeing a push toward cocktail hats
and fascinators. Up until now, we were hearing
about them mostly in England, but at this season’s
European runway shows they were turning up –
especially at Armani.
We also heard that Armani dazzled the crowd with
snug jackets in scratch-like fabric, crystal trimmings,
bugle beads and tulle “Most looks came with
Thirties-era hat gear, almost miniature sculptures.
Models had racy red crystal eyelashes and celebs
that peppered the front row were: Claudia Cardinale,
Cher, Ornella Mutti, Tamara Beckwith and Laurence
Ashley.
