HAT THEME CONTINUES TO BE FRONT CENTER AT CHARITY EVENTS

The 2006 Hats For Heroes Celebrity Hockey Challenge sponsored by Pepsi takes place at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday, Aug. 27th. Current and former Blue Jackets, NHL stars and local police and fire fighters will play for charity. Proceeds benefit the Columbus Hats For Heroes supports local pediatric cancer programs.

During breaks in the on-ice action, fans will be introduced to some of the cancer patient’s kids who are currently battling cancer. A silent auction, raffle and post-game autograph sessions will take place.

Fans can hang out with pros in the locker room and on the ice for the pre-game skate and warm-ups as a skater or goalie. The highest bidders for each position receive a personalized jersey, a team photo, a team-signed stick and other perks – for information: www.nhl.com.
