Donald Kimmel, artistic director of Flying
Swine, a new professional theater company
in Beacon, gives his new art hat a test
run in front of Hudson Beach Glass.
The hat was part of the Poughkeepsie NY
Beacon Hat Parade, which draws over 700
participants and hundreds of spectators.
The event was on May 20th and included artists
and locals in wildly decorated berets, sombreros,
fedoras, tricornes and cowboy hats. They
paraded through Main Street as part of a
daylong event to celebrate the city.
