ALL THE QUEENS HORSEMEN AND ALL THE QUEENS MEN COULDN’T STOP PETA FROM GETTING MAD ABOUT THEIR FUR HATS

In case you haven’t heard, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have been trying to get the Queen to substitute faux fur hats for the real ones worn by her guards. Well the latest news (if you care to indulge) is that designer STELLA McCARTNEY (as in Paul’s daughter) has designed a fake alternative to the bearskin hats worn by QUEEN ELIZABETH II's Royal Guards.

According to a PETA spokesperson, "They kill one black bear in Canada for each of her (The Queen's) Guards' hats, and Stella McCartney has designed an amazing fake."

But Britain's Ministry of Defense claims to have no involvement in the venture. "We've been looking at a synthetic hat for a while, but I've not heard of Stella being involved." Singer PINK recently wrote a letter to The Queen, on behalf of PETA, asking her to stop the use of bearskin hats.

That’s all we know for now. We’ll keep you posted. If you are so inclined, you might want to pray for those poor little bears.
