HEAD WRAPS AND SCARVES ARE TOUTED AS THE NEXT BIG THING BY US WEEKLY

The Fashion Police from this celebrity crazed glossy went undercover in their attempt to uncover this headwear trend. The article called, “Hiding Under Head Scarves,” went on to say, “Bad hair day or hot trend?”

Pictured below are Jessica Alba, Jennifer Lopez, Julianne Moore and Lindsay Lohan all in scarf wraps. And of course, Nicole Richie is pictured on the right (she’s the latest “it” girl). Paris is oh so yesterday.

What the article didn’t say is that this outlaw head trick is one way for young people to express their individuality. If you look around you will see that young men (bikers and surfers) are wearing scarves on their heads en mass. It’s a counterculture attempt to distinguish themselves as out of fashion by way of fashion. It could also be a healthier incarnation of the tattoo.
