Australian milliner Ann-Maree Willett was in the news lately talking about the importance of headwear for racing events. “No racing ensemble is complete without a stand-out headpiece. That's what racing is all about, isn't it – the hat?" she said.

According to this Aussie milliner, women will be wearing more elegant headwear in the future. When it comes to color Willett forecasts: “black and red are always popular colors as well as muted brights. Look out for muted pink, mint, yellow, aqua or teal.”

As far as styling, Willett stresses that women should wear hats that suit their personality.
