HOPES TO OFFER READERS NOT JUST SOME CHOICE WORDS
BUT CLOTHING AS WELL

PRIMEDIA Enterprises is teaming up with Fine
World LLC to develop a line of apparel and headwear
for readers of SLAM Magazines. This is SLAM's
first entry into the retail apparel market.
Fine World will produce men's and boy's sports
apparel; t-shirts, shorts, sweatshirts, sweatpants,
jerseys, jackets, warm-up suits, headwear,
backpacks and gym bags. The products will be shipped
to athletic stores and better specialty stores
nationwide this year.
SLAM Magazine is devoted to sports culture, especially
basketball. The magazine covers the NBA, College,
High-School and Playground hoops and showcases
the latest basketball gear, music and video games.
Stuart Ullman, President of Fine World said,
"SLAM is looked at as the must read among
basketball followers, that’s why we saw
great potential to extend the reputation and brand
value beyond the pages of the magazine. The line
we're introducing will reflect the identity and
persona SLAM has established, while giving the
consumer a wide range of options to suit both
the sport and their personal preferences."
