THE TURBAN AND GILDED BERET COMING TO A DESIGNER NEAR YOU

Look for hats to hit the jet set next season. In Milan Miuccia Prada (the pix above), Giorgio Armani and Dolce& Gabbana all used turban-shaped head-wraps to soften the blow of reality.

According to the fashion press: “The No 1 accessory in this round of preview showings for the Spring-Summer 2007…were Turbans…they are easy, quick and powerful," said Miuccia Prada, after her much applauded collection show. Earlier in the week, Giorgio Armani said he used the turban to underline femininity, while Dolce&Gabbana outfitted their club girls with turban-shaped headbands.”

Aha…something to hang your hat on now.

Other Miuccia Prada runway trends: Monster boots, wood clogs, stilettos, helmets, headbands and Lana Turner-like turbans.
