WHAT GOES ON IN VEGAS SOMETIMES GETS OUT OF VEGAS

While we were in Las Vegas we took a look around their malls and shopping venues. Many of the stores are a carbon copy of the same old – same old (this is a problem), but we did find a few interesting items to note.

The first one might surprise you, but at Chrome Hearts in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace (they do have one in NYC at 159 East 64th St), there is a hat that keeps selling out as soon as it hits the floor. It’s a trucker cap emblazoned with the word FUCK on the front. Although this might seem a tad crude (to us old folks) people of all ages are begging for more of them. The cost is $90 for the simple fabric cap (that comes in black and white, black and pink, blue and red) and $330 for a similar cap in double weight poly with the same word in leather (it has a mesh sides). Apparently the $330 is not selling nearly as well as the $90 cap. All caps have a silver charm on top.

Call it the rising of the crude culture – or just the forbidden fruit of language. This shop also has lots of sinister medieval items such as shirts and caps with cemetery crosses, knifes, etc.
