HAT MAKER McCLENDON’S MAKES HATS PART OF AN ACCESSORY FAMILY

We caught up with McClendon hats at the WWIN Show (yes, there was a show at the Rio Hotel as well) and their hats can be bought as part of a three-piece set. The trio includes: a hat, a matching purses and jewelry. Prices range from $37 to $190 for the three piece set – that often has a glam aspect to it. There are lots of hats with glitter and glitz, but it’s in good taste. They are very well done. Contact info: 310-841-6803. or mclendonhats@aol.com

One last note on matching hats and hat sets:

I think customers are going to want their accessories to match. In the late 60’s and early 70’s women (and college girls) wore hats to match their bags and umbrellas. I think now is the perfect time to re-create this matching magic. Umbrellas that match hats – even shoes with matching hats – are a great way for the consumer to say, “I am on top of things.” We all know that is impossible at this point in history – but control over one’s life is a good thing, even if it’s based on fantasy. You can have hats with matching wallets, key chains, pill boxes, you name it!
