| HAT MAKER McCLENDON’S
MAKES HATS PART OF AN ACCESSORY FAMILY
We caught up with McClendon hats
at the WWIN Show (yes, there was a show at the
Rio Hotel as well) and their hats can be bought
as part of a three-piece set. The trio includes:
a hat, a matching purses and jewelry. Prices range
from $37 to $190 for the three piece set –
that often has a glam aspect to it. There are
lots of hats with glitter and glitz, but it’s
in good taste. They are very well done. Contact

One last note on matching
hats and hat sets:
I think customers are going to want
their accessories to match. In the late 60’s
and early 70’s women (and college girls)
wore hats to match their bags and umbrellas. I
think now is the perfect time to re-create this
matching magic. Umbrellas that match hats –
even shoes with matching hats – are a great
way for the consumer to say, “I am on top
of things.” We all know that is impossible
at this point in history – but control over
one’s life is a good thing, even if it’s
based on fantasy. You can have hats with matching
wallets, key chains, pill boxes, you name it!
