THE ACADEMY OF ART UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF FASHION HAS A WEEK OF AWARDS AND FASHION SHOWS THIS WEEK

The culmination of this exciting week will be a ceremony honoring fashion icon Loulou de la Falaise, Pulitzer Prize winning fashion editor, Robin Givhan of the Washington Post and fashion designer to the stars, Zac Posen.

The fashion show and awards ceremony will take place on Friday April 27th at the school in San Francisco. The guests of honor will receive a Doctor of Humane Letters for their contribution to the world of art and design from the University president Dr. Elisa Stephens.

On Wednesday April 25th there will be a media panel discussion at the Morgan Auditorium at 491 Post Street. Fashion greats Robin Givhan, Titti Matteoni (editor in chef of Fashion magazine in Italy, Ceslie ARtmwtrong (editor and TV host), Elizabeth Vamell (style director of San Francisco Magazine) and Charlotte Lurot, director of Bacchus PR in London.

Thursday April 26th there will be a Worth Global Style Network Presentation at the Morgan Library with WGSN, the leading online research, news and trend service – wgsn.com. Later in the day (3:00) there will be a Fashion Symposium with fashion dignitaries such as Givhan, Falaise, Posen, Comejo and Charlotte Lurot.

The graduation Fashion Show will be held at 3:00 on Friday April 27th and the Fashion Show and Awards Ceremony is by invitation only at 7:00 pm at 601 Brannan Street at 5th Avenue. There will be internship awards given out at this time.

Saturday April 28th at 3:00 will be a fashion show open to all students, staff and public at 601 Brannan Street at 5th Avenue. Special guest from Bravo TV’s hit Project Runway.
