NEW ERA GOES RETAIL IN TORONTO AND ATLANTA

New Era Cap Co. is opening a 3,000-square-foot store along Queen Street West in downtown Toronto on Aug. 3. The two-level store is located near the Rogers Centre, formerly the SkyDome.

"It will look a lot like the Buffalo store, but with a different feel," said Dana Marciniak, New Era manager of corporate communications.

The Toronto store will feature a full line of New Era sports caps as well as traditional caps and some of the company's new apparel line. The new store will have a series of hats that highlight Toronto landmarks.

At the end of August New Era will open a 2,500-square-foot store in downtown Atlanta. The four-level store will have a baseball theme with the cash register area serving as home plate, Marciniak said.

New Era currently has stores in midtown Manhattan, Buffalo and London.
