FORMER COLUMBIA EXECUTIVES START ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY FASHION COMPANY

The company - called Trust Your Journey – was born out of a difficult situation.

Beth Brownlee, former Director of Apparel Sales of Columbia, was diagnosed with breast cancer and the idea for the brand came during her sessions of chemotherapy when a friend told her to "Trust her journey."

Trust Your Journey is the collaborated effort of Beth Brownlee and Ruth Nichols, who were both former executives for the outdoor apparel brand, Columbia Sportswear.

"I want to let women know that they are not alone in their fight. Sometimes it's little things that inspire us to overcome obstacles, great or small. Trust Your Journey celebrates all women and wants to support them,” said Brownlee.

The product line will include shirts, fleece, hats and bags made out of 100% organic cotton printed with water-based inks. The brand will also include handmade jewelry and journals made from recycled seed.
