STORMY KROMER HEADWEAR DEDICATES A GIANT HAT IN IRONWOOD MICHIGAN

Ironwood, Michigan gained a heady landmark on US 2, near Hobby Wheel. The statue of a red Stormy Kromer Cap stands six feet off the ground and is five feet tall by eight feet wide - and is made of fiberglass.

The statue was dedicated December 7th to the Northwoods communities of Hurley, Ironwood, Bessemer and Wakefield. Representatives from Stormy Kromer were present for the unveiling and dedication, along with area Stormy Kromer dealers, mayors of Ironwood and Wakefield, Michigan.

It is hoped the new statue will be a draw for area visitors and become a recognized symbol of the Northwoods community.

Stormy Kromer has been an outdoor headwear and apparel maker for more than 100 years. Founded in 1903 by George “Stormy” Kromer, the company has grown from a husband and wife operation to a nationwide organization, housed in a 30,000 Sq. Ft. State-of-the-art facility.
