WOMEN CREATE HEADWEAR COMPANY THAT ANSWERS THE CALL OF THE HAIR CHALLENGED

Susie Faber and Kari Miltenberger understand the need for stylish hats that cover the scalp while not drawing unnecessary attention to the wearer. That’s why they created a company called Stylish Noggins.

Due to health problems both women experienced hair loss and the challenges that go with this condition. Kari learned how to tie scarves of bright colors, with twists and turns around caps she wore. As a professional women working in the business world, this would become her hair.

Susie experimented with wigs that were secured using double-sided tape. Sometimes the tape would tear her skin as she took the wig off. Every time she wore the wig, it would scratch and leave red blotches on her head.

That’s why they decided to start a company that makes caps and hats that are soft, comfortable and stylish. Susie actually had people tell her, "Your hair looks so nice." while wearing her cap and scarf, in the grocery store.

"I want them to feel like they can walk around with no hair - and a smile on their faces with their head’s held high. They should be able to be themselves and not feel like they have to hide," said Kari.

Both women hope their products will give others the style they want and the self-confidence they deserve.
