FLIGHTS OF FASHION FANCY

To celebrate Alaska Airlines’ 75th anniversary they pulled out all the stops and flights of fancy from their past. Flight attendants wore retro uniforms to show a bit of their history and heritage by donning Russian Cossack dresses and pillbox hats.

In a runway show at Seattle-Tacoma International, members of Alaska's flight crew wore outfits from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Passengers at Los Angeles International, Portland International and Anchorage International were also greeted by crew members in retro garb.

Red velvet skirts and ostrich feather hats inspired by the Alaska Gold Rush were worn with tunics and fur hats from the Cold War era. Bell bottoms and hot pants were worn as well (history repeats itself remember).
