JAY LENO AND CAMERON DIAZ DISCUSS HATS

If you watched “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno last week then you might have seen Cameron Diaz pop into the guest chair wearing a white knit beret. Although Diaz looked smashing in the knit cap, it was wonderful to hear their hat chat (the show was re-broadcast twice).

“I love it when women wear hats, there is something sexy about a woman in a hat,” said Leno. Diaz replied: “The problem is there is nowhere to buy a great hat.”

Leno answered, “Not enough women wear hats. The hat makes its own quiet statement. Men fantasize about women wearing a hat. All the women wore large hats at the Kentucky Derby.”

Hmm…that is food for thought. I was thinking the same thing. How many women’s apparel stores carry hats? Not many – even in sunny Florida (where I live). It seems retailers are not convinced that their shoppers want hats. So…it’s up to hat vendors and the media to convince stores to carry hats. Many women want to buy them!
