DESIGNER NINA ROSENBERG WINS THE CHRYSLER SEBRING HATS OFF TO THE DERBY CONTEST

Nina Rosenberg of Prospect Kentucky won a 2008 Chrysler Sebring for her original hat made of convertible top fabric. The contest – given by Chrysler – was a wonderful promotion in honor of the Kentucky Derby and the new Sebring.

"Nina did a great job incorporating the convertible top fabric into her hat design by actually weaving the fabric into the suede and other materials of the hat. Her craftsmanship was top notch," said Susan Thomson, Senior Manager of Chrysler Global Brand Communications.

The other two winners were Tanya Law of Charleston (who used black striping and trim from the convertible top of the car on a white straw hat) and Cynthia Lundeen of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, who trimmed a large scoop hat with an "S" from the fabric of the car.

Chrysler launched the "Hats Off to the Derby" contest in January in honor of the Hat Hoopla that surrounds the Derby. The winner was asked to capture the essence of the car and the Derby, while incorporating fabric from the convertible top. There were 300 entrants in the contest.
