BOLLMAN HAT COMPANY SAYS GOODBYE TO EILEEN MITCHELL

Eileen Mitchell will be leaving Bollman Hat Company for health reasons – but we hear she has left an indelible mark on those who knew her. “Eileen Mitchell will surely be missed in the headwear industry,” said Duane Dewsbury, owner of the HatsAmerica.com.

Dewsbury said Eileen was instrumental in the creation and rapid growth of his company. “Eileen was there from the beginning and educated me on purchasing and shipping and how I could best coordinate and communicate with the Bollman Hat Company. She held my hand and taught me everything from hat sizing to style selections, and much much more,” said Duane.

“We developed a very strong working relationship, but also found time to foster a great friendship as well. Although I have never met Eileen face to face, we have communicated by phone and email on a daily basis for over two years. We have exchanged photographs of our loved ones, shared heartwarming stories and we even sent each other samples of our favorite cookies.”

Eileen also has some things to say to hatters:

“It’s hard for me to believe that the people that I will miss most are the ones that I have never met! I have spoken to so many people around the country - in the hat business I have found that ladies and gentleman still exist.”

“This has been such a positive experience for me and I value all the time that I spent here at Bollman Hat Co. This was the perfect job for me. Where else in a days time can you speak to someone from Alaska to Maine! One blessing that has occurred that in my retirement I will have many places to travel and I will finally be able to meet people in person that have touched my life in such a short time. I hope my great-great grandchildren get to read this someday so they will know a little bit about their grandma.”

From Bollman: “Eileen handled all of the big dot.com hat retailer’s at Bollman and she will be missed by all of us. We love Eileen and will miss her in the business.”

Best of Luck Eileen.
