FEATHERS FLOCK TOGETHER ON HEADWEAR

Many of the fashion services and blogs are hailing feathers as the new big thing. And we know that the Brits are smitten with feathers (think Queen and her court). Stranger things have happened – and it seems that feathered headwear might just take this year.

This is what some fashion birds think is happening with this beastie trend:

”We're obsessed the current feather trend. It reminds us of sultry cabaret girls and the sophisticated millinery accoutrements of the 1940s. Plus, it's an interesting couture-style alternative to beading.

We love a bunch peeking out from our hair, accenting a hat á la Isabella Blow or layered in over-the-top proportions on jackets, capes and skirts.

While millinery is defined as a functionally unnecessary accoutrement - we see these as that extra garnish, like the extra cuff-buttons on a man's dress jacket that makes an outfit fun.”
