THE HERITAGE FASHION SHOW AT THE NEW HOLSTEIN HISTORICAL SOCIETY IN WISCONSIN FEATURES HATS TO THE MAX

The Annual Heritage Fashion Show and Luncheon of the New Holstein Historical Society will be this Saturday, April 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the New Holstein Community Center, Kiwanis Park.

This year's event will feature "Accessories through the Ages — Hats and More Galore."

The featured presenter for the event will be Leslie Bellias of the Wisconsin History Museum in Madison. Bellias is the curator of the Museum's Costume and Textiles' collection. She will present a program titled "Bonnets to Hats from the 1830s to the 1920s."

As part of her presentation, she shows 15 antique hats from the Wisconsin History Museum's collection. She also will wear and discuss a group of 19th-century reproduction hats.

Prior to the program and luncheon, the Historical Society's extensive collection of hats and accompanying accessories will be on display throughout the dining area. The hats displayed range from the late 1800s to the late 1960s. Accessories include hair combs, purses, hat pins and more.
