OF AFRICA: WEST AFRICAN HEAD CRAFT CULTURE EXHIBIT
The
exhibition, put together in association with the
African Arts and Culture Promotion Network, will

this, many have of the hats have interesting stories
connected to them. Others are simply symbols of
fashion and beauty.
Visitors
can see beautiful fabrics, intricate beading and
a variety of vibrant head wraps with information
panels and accompanying photographs.
On Sunday March 30th visitors can meet the Exhibition
Artists from African Arts and the Culture Promotion
Network. This free event called Flavour Fusion
will take place from 1 to 5pm. Visitors can sample
West Africa food, watch hair braiding techniques
and take part in craft workshops.
The exhibition will be on display until May 11,
2008. Entry is free and there are activities such
as trying on headgear and practicing traditional
