KID ROCK SELLS OUT – THE ROCKER IS NOW SHOWING HIS APPAREL AND HATS AT THE GM STYLE SHOW IN DETROIT

Apparently the bad boy rocker – who is from Detroit – will be at the GM Style show, a celebration of cars, music and fashion on Jan.12th (the event leads up to the North American International Auto Show).

Kid Rock will not only perform, but he will be showing off his Made in Detroit line of shirts, jackets, HATS and denim by William Rast.

It doesn’t take much to realize that GM wants to be seen as hip and cool. This is what they said about the deal: "High energy and passion are in every element of GM Style, from the vehicles to the performances to the fashions," said Ed Welburn, GM vice president, Global Design. "People will be talking about this event for some time to come."

The Made in Detroit clothing company features graphics by Gary Arnett, creator of the original logo (a man dressed in work clothes holding a wrench). One of the T-shirts spells the word "Detroit" in a gearshift pattern. (young people love irony, did I tell you that?)

GM Style will be held in a football field-size, climate-controlled pavilion on the Detroit River, east of GM's Global Headquarters, and will be simulcast on gm.com. In addition to kicking off the world's largest auto show, GM Style will have a series of activities called GMnext, leading up to the start of GM's next 100 years. The corporation turns 100 on Sept. 16, 2008.

This is not your father’s GM car (or his crowd) for sure.
