If you have eco items to show off you might want
to attend this new trade show. We heard that the
first Eco Gift Expo was a huge success –
over 6,500 people (including Meg Ryan and Mario
Van Peeples) went to the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium
on December 15 and 16 to buy eco-friendly gifts
from 154 vendors.
 |
Several of the vendors had their product
lines picked up by Whole Foods Market and
other retail outlets due to their exposure
at the show. |
 |
10 percent of gross revenues were donated
to Global Green and Whole Planet Foundation. |
 |
The Los Angeles Times recycled newspaper
gift wrap station and UPS shipping station
went over very well. |
“We were overwhelmed and extremely pleased
by the turnout and positive feedback we’ve
received about the expo,” says Tommy Rosen,
environmentalist and founder of Eco Gift Expo.
“We’re proud to have created an event
that benefits charity, protects the environment
and provides people with a great shopping experience
and outstanding gifts. We’ll be holding
the Eco Gift Expo again next year in Santa Monica
and other cities throughout the US.”
