IMPERIAL HEADWEAR GOES GREEN AND BLACK AT THE PGA SHOW

We got word that Imperial Headwear just launched a promotion called “What is Green and What is Black?” Their claim is one of environmentalism – with what they call “true golf ‘Green’ headwear and a technically advanced performance cap called Imperial1.

Imperial’s Green & Black campaign was created to generate a buzz for golf headwear. With environmental concerns dominating much of the golf industry - and society in general - Imperial’s new Green Collection melds eco-sensitivity and action. Hence Green. “The ‘Black’ signifies a leap forward in wearable golf industry technology and performance. The Imperial1 cap uses advanced technology in fabric, components and fit,” they said.

Green Is performance with conscience, they added. “These hats are 98 percent renewable, reusable and recycled with sustainable 65 percent organic cotton and 35 percent bamboo charcoal. Made without pesticides and chemicals, organic cotton is soft and easy to wear. Bamboo charcoal yarn is anti-bacterial, de-odorizing and healthy. Charcoal particles absorb energy and aide cell activation, promoting circulation.”

They used soy- based dyes and visors are made from recycled materials - metal alloy and plastic fittings for adjustable fit. According to Imperial, their Green headwear is hypoallergenic, breathable, quick dry, odor absorbent, machine-washable, thermal regulating and environmentally friendly (can it do dishes I want to know).

The Imperial Green Collection comes in their signature cap, low profile visor and bucket style. Also included: recycled green closure tabs and their commitment to environmental responsibility.

The Imperial1 is a I9-panel memory visor, with custom shaped bill and cushion strip to prevent hat-head. The Micro-Velcro™ elastic loop closure has a pull- tab for adjustability. Imperial1 has pro-mesh ventilation, BLX™ breathable Spandex 4-way stretch and moisture wicking.

The dark under-visor prevents glare and has a X-STATIC® sweatband. (The X-STATIC® has silver fibers that regulate temperature and disperse heat. It has anti-odor and anti-microbial properties, minimizes static, is comfortable and has permanent performance). According to Imperial, surgeons, military special forces, Olympic athletes and NASA astronauts use X-STATIC® technology.
