With the passing of Manny’s Millinery there was a need for New York area hatters to come together in unity. That is why 30 independent hat designers have joined forces to create the Milliners Guild.

"Made in America is the current watchword for consumers seeking quality, reliable goods. As a response to market demands - and to promote awareness of their unique contribution to fashion – we have come together.

While garment factories are transformed into condos, and neighborhood "mom and pop" stores and small boutiques give way to big box stores full of cookie-cutter imports, the Guild seeks to maintain the innovative design, attention to detail and personalized service provided only in a handmade hat by a traditional milliner.
