GQ MAGAZINE HAS A WONDERFUL ARTICLE ON HATS IN THE OCTOBER ISSUE

What a pleasant surprise – GQ Magazine had a five-page story called, “USE YOUR HEAD, The GQ Guide To Buying A Hat. The first page featured J.J. Hat Center in NYC with Marc Williamson fitting a customer with a fedora. The article talked about how to wear a hat, the meaning of a Blocked Hat and there was an interview with Andre Benjamin, musician, actor, designer and hat lover.

There was also a story about unstructured hats that give a “louche look that doesn’t channel the Rat Pack.”

There’s also a list of the Best Hat Stores in America. The stores they picked include: Optimo in Chicago, Byrnie Utz in Seattle, Hollywood Hatters, J.J. Hat Center, Levine Hat Co. in St. Louis, Meyer the Hatter in New Orleans and Still Life in New York City (they opened in 2006 and is owned by Frenel Morris).
