IT’S
BAD NEWS FOR THE WALL STREET JOURNAL FASHION
BUREAU: The Wall Street Journal has closed
its fashion bureau. Christina Binkley and
Lisa Bannon will stay in their jobs, but
the remaining 8 staff members including Teri
Agins and Cheryl Tan have been let go, effective
at the end of March.
"We are closing our fashion bureau but
will continue to cover fashion and retail by
reassigning some but not all of our current
staff," said a Dow Jones spokesperson. |

I made
a few mistakes in the last newsletter so
to set the record straight I must tell you
that the Headwear Association is not the
AHA, it is the THA. I apologize to the THA,
I got them confused with the AHA that is
owned by a friend of mine in Florida. Ooops.
Sorry about that. I also gave the wrong dates
for the upcoming Stephen Jones Anthology at the V&A. I said it closed on March
31, but the date of the closure is May 31. |
