TEXTILE TRENDS FOR 2009 COLORFUL AND JOLLY

The California Apparel News put out their seasonal fabric report that looks pretty good. Here is what they predict:

Touch of Pink
Pastel pinks give a flirty cast to florals, dots and stripes, while saturated fuchsias punch up tie-dyes, printed plaids and abstract patterns.

Avid Ink (877) AVID INK, www.avidink.com; Nipkow & Kobelt Inc. (714) 375-6473, www.nipkowkobelt.com; Pine Crest Fabrics (503) 254-1353, www.pcfinc.com; Robert Kaufman Fabrics (800) 877-2066, www.robertkaufman.com; Taiana Vanity 39 031994411, www.taiana.it

Shiftiing to Neutrals
Neutral shades of beige, tan, khaki and chocolate are paired with pastels for sweet florals, matched with rich spice tones for ethnic prints or mixed together for crisp yarn-dyed plaids.

Gone Green
From celery to celadon to brighter, acid shades, green provides a fresh take on paisley prints, Hawaiian florals and embellished tie dyes.
