PATRIOT GOLF DAY LIMITED EDITION CAPS WERE A SUCCESS
Ahead Hat Company will donate $22,000 to the
Folds of Honor Foundation from sales of its limited
edition Patriot Golf Day caps. Ahead sold 8800
Patriot Golf Day caps and $2.50 per cap went directly
to the foundation.
"Ahead and our sales team really believe
in the mission to support our fallen heroes families
and worked hard in promoting this program over
the last 6 weeks," said Jeff Waller, national
sales manager, Ahead. "The Folds of Honor
Foundation is a great cause and we hope our contribution
will make a little difference in the lives of
military families."
Patriot Golf Day was held at 5000 participating
golf courses. They offered three limited-edition
logo caps in honor of Patriot Golf Day. The three
logos on the front of the cap were the F-16 Viper
fighter jet logo, the F-16 Viper fighter jet logo
with the Patriot Golf Day logo and the Folds of
Honor Foundation logo.
Each cap had the Folds of Honor Foundation words
on the back of the cap. The Ahead limited edition
caps sold for $19 at participating Patriot Golf
Day courses.
PGA Professional Dan Rooney, an F-16 fighter
pilot in the Oklahoma Air National Guard, is the
founder of the Folds of Honor Foundation. Major
Rooney has served two tours in Iraq, and will
be returning for another tour this summer. The
Folds of Honor Scholarship Fund provides educational
scholarships to the spouses and children of military
service members disabled or killed in the line
of duty.
