For the first time ever Hat Life is giving out
Hatty Awards to consumers who adore hats (men
or women). We are looking for hat lovers who buy
hats with as much élan as they would buy
a new car.
We have met some of these hat aficionados at
polo matches and around town in shopping centers
(we met a woman in the Loehmann’s parking
lot in Aventura, Florida who was wearing a vintage
silver glitter Frank Olive hat.)
You can tell who the extreme hat lover is at
a glance. They talk about their hats the way some
people talk about their dogs and they never leave
the house without a hat on. To younger people
today, wearing a hat is a creative endeavor and
to others it is the simple solution to a bad hair
day.
So,
if you’re a retailer with customers who
qualify, or if you know someone who loves hats,
have them fill out an application at: http://www.hatlife.com/hatty_awards.php.
For Hat Manufacturers, Retailers and Designers,
there is still time to enter to win a Hatty Award.
Just fill out the application at http://www.hatlife.com/hatty_awards.php
I was in Santa Monica recently and everyone was
wearing a HAT. It was a fashion universe filled
with headwear lovers. I must admit many of the
people I saw wearing hats were young, but the
trend is catching on big time.
Be patient Hat Makers and Hat sellers –
Hats are making a comeback. It is slow and steady
but a hat revolution is coming nonetheless.
