HEADWEAR THAT MAKES BEAUTIFUL MUSIC

We all know that young people are wired for sound. So much so, that they carry around their iPod’s and other musical devices as if it were part of their DNA. That may be the reason that more and more companies are coming up with hats and caps wired for sound.

One of the newest is the i360 Wireless Music-Infused Headband. Created by Sacramento-based Soundescapes, the i360 line of headbands and beanies provide wireless musical capabilities, the wearer just has to add an iPod or mp3 player.

The i360 headwear eliminates wires and headphones while delivering top-notch sound. The headwear uses a patented technology that includes a washable 3-jack wiring assembly and internal pockets allowing listeners to connect their iPod to custom i360 speakers, all hidden from view.

The i360 line of music headwear was created Aaron Phillips, who kept dropping his iPod or getting tangled up in wires while trying to listen to music while running, snowboarding, and skateboarding. Phillips' company Soundescapes developed and introduced the patented line of i360 Music Infused Apparel a year ago.

The i360 headband is available at specialty sporting goods retailers and at www.ithreesixty.com in the US, Canada, and Europe. Prices range from $39.95 to $49.95 (iPod not included).

Tooks International are knit caps with removable headphones that can be connected to Ipod’s or MP3 players.

The hats feature compact size removable headphones engineered for sound quality in a slim package design. The removable speakers allow the headwear to be washed.

The headphones are inserted into the inner layers of fabric hidden from view and can be adjusted to fit directly over the ears. Tooks headphones allow some ambient sound to be heard while skiing, biking or at sporting events.

Tooks, developed in 2005, is involved in youth and athlete sponsorships, charity donations, and uses eco-friendly packaging and shipping containers. The Tooks name is derived from the French-Canadian word for a beanie, which is "tuque" or "touque." For information: www.TooksHats.com
