THE YEAR OF THE ANIMAL - TEXTILE PREVIEW

The first textile shows of the season started in New York last week.

The trends were as follows: Fur, feathers and reptile skin inspiration (the wilder side of nature). Snake and crocodile patterns turned up on embossed fabrics and jacquards, as well as in digital prints and velvets. Animal prints are modernized mixed with traditional menswear patterns and computer generated collages.

Feathers in modern graphic prints or classical lace.
