Imperial Headwear Parties to their Calling: Denver- based Imperial Headwear rocked the folks at the Flash Gallery at Lakewood’s Belmar Mall on June 23rd. Their “hearty hat party,” (as the media called it) showed off their 2006 line with spokesperson and model Jill McGill and Carin Koch. Imperial had McGill tell the press what she liked about their new line (Velcro closure at the back of baseball caps). The media hoopla was a precursor to the U.S. Women’s Open in Cherry Hills, where Imperial is the official hat maker. Their new line includes girl’s golf caps and visors. Their State Your Mind Collection has sayings such as: “5:00 Friend,” (with a pix of a martini), a “Bad Hair Day” cap (this was the brainchild of a small NYC company in the late 80’s, and it sold well in its day). The Buzz Off Insect Repellent Shield Collection features shirts and hats with built-in bug repellent. The line for men and women will be available July 1 at www.imperialforyou.com.
