We just got back from attending the August Accessory Shows in NYC. There was a glitz blitz reminiscent of the 60’s and 70’s. We like the return to glamour and glitz that emphasized rhinestones, silver and gold, beading, embroidery and lots of gilt (the good kind). Western headwear is still being worn by all, from cowboys to common folk. The good news is that this renewed excitement in the accessory market should be great for business. Accessory departments will shine this fall, and unless someone makes big mistakes, it should be a stellar season for all.
