Avirex is flying High again…..The classic aeronautical leather bomber-varsity jackets from Avirex have been taken back from their licensee and have been returned to their founder Jeff Clyman. The company, celebrating its 30th anniversary, launched a series of limited edition jackets, replicas from the 1980s and '90s. The jackets will be marketed under the name "Avirex Limited" and have hand embroidery and serial numbers on the inside. Avirex is launching a sportswear and children's wear, and is also looking for a new partner to develop footwear products. Who knows, maybe they need a headwear vendor. Contact: Jacky Clyman at Jacky@avirex.com, or call 917-690-1965.

CROWN CAP GOING STRONG: Crown Cap sees an increase in their sheepskin business. Their wild fur and leather products for men and women are still manufactured in their Winnipeg, Canada facility. The company, that was purchased from its founders in 1987, has grown from a few hundred accounts in Western Canada to over 1700 active accounts throughout Canada, the US, Western Europe and Japan. They sell department stores, gift stores, men’s' and women’s' independents, sporting goods retailers and the "farm" trade.
