THE ROYALS MADE THEIR US PILGRIMAGE, BUT CAMILLA DIDN’T FANCY HER HATS

The Royal couple made a modest spectacle of themselves last week in the US. Apparently the Goodwill junket was an attempt to bolster relations between the US and to herald Charles’ environmental projects. Many think the trip was also a way for Charles to show off his new bride. (Prince Charles also gave an intimate peek into his psyche in a rare 60 Minutes interview last week).

What is so unusual about Camilla’s appearance is that she wore very few hats. This is the woman who wears outrageous hats by Philip Treacy all over England! Perhaps she wanted to come across more serious, or perhaps she wanted to fit neatly into our fashion scene. Either way I was disappointed by her lack of hattery on our shores.

But the rest of her trip she appeared Hat-Less.
