ILLUSTRIOUS HEADWEAR FROM THE DOWN UNDER

GIRLS MUST LOVE THEIR PEARLS, WHY ELSE WOULD DESIGNER PETER JAGO MAKE A HAT WORTH $1.5 MILLION

The Millinery Association of Australia presented its sixth annual Millinery Collection parade at Flemington race-course to a crowd of hat lovers looking for the latest “must have” headwear. The winner was Australian milliner Peter Jago, who used Australian South Sea pearls and black mesh netting. TV personality Suzie Wilks modeled the gemified headwear worth over $1.5 million. Makers Mark jewelry designer Shalee McKenzie helped with the design. The hat is on display at Makers Mark at 464 Collins Street in Australia.

Pearls of wisdom: Headwear that makes news ends up making news. Let’s see our headwear industry put together some outrageous hats…perhaps Victoria Secret would like some feathery glitzy hats to be worn on their unclad beauties at their next fashion show.
